Last night , TJ skipped a feed for the first time (he was unsettled for a while – I got up and got everything ready, then realised he was asleep and followed suit – shocked when he woke over two hours later)! If you haven’t been woken at midnight, 3am, and 6am every day for a month (or 6 months, or more) then you can’t imagine the excitement of this occasion. It happens to coincide with meeting his paternal grandpa’s parents (photos last entry), AND the first time he (technically, just barely) played with a toy – reaching to grasp for it (successfully but awkwardly) and then (when I helped him hold it better) putting the round part in his mouth.
Happy first month of life Little Bear!
Still Shiny
Louisette is acting up a little, and I wondered if this was it: the all-over emotional meltdown as she unconsciously realises she’s not the precise centre of our worlds any more. Was she squashing/thumping/bouncing a soccer ball off the head of our TJ to express her secret rage?
But no, she’s just fine.
Funny Faces
All from today (many look extra weird because he was lying on my chest so I was holding the camera out and clicking, selfie-style). Real smiles 🙂
