The Synergy of Procrastination
Okay, so, long story short I know it’s been ages since I posted and I also realised today I hadn’t posted about my latest interactive story. So, voila! Blog entry.
The Floating City is a near-future sci-fi/climate fiction story set in (wait for it!) a floating city. You’re the offspring of shark farmers living in a post-climate change world. It gradually becomes clear that something serious is scaring the sharks. Can you and your genius best friend figure it out before one or more cities are destroyed?
This is the first time I really tried to write a story with disabled people in it (I am disabled, but not in the same ways as the characters in the story). The viewpoint character was born without legs below the knee, and several characters including Kassandra are Deaf (most people speak in the main city at least a reasonable amount of signed ‘tapping’ slang, plus a full sign language).
It’s a Hosted Game, so you can find it on pretty much any device. And it’s on Steam!
In other news, I have ALMOST finished an interactive cat breeding game that is, I gotta say, pretty awesome.
